What temperature should I store my wine?

  • Red Wine: 8 - 10°C
  • White Wine: 16 - 18°C
  • Champagne: 8 - 10°C
  • Beer: 4 - 7°C

Temperature is one of the most important factors you will need to consider when storing and ageing wine. Wine needs to be stored at a balanced, maintained temperature in order to prevent spoilage. The temperature in which the wine should be stored depends entirely on the type of wine it is, its alcohol percentage and its level of tannins. For example, red wine should generally be stored between 8-10°C, whilst white wine should generally be stored between 16-18°C.

In order for these idyllic temperatures to be achieved and maintained, the best thing to do is to get yourself a wine cooler. Wine coolers allow you to control the temperature of your wine to the degree and they do it through a compressor or thermoelectric technologies.

If you do not have a wine cooler, you should simply ensure that your wine collection is stored in a consistently dark, cool space such as a garage or basement.

Temperature fluctuations can be extremely damaging to wine which is why it is so important to ensure that your collection is stored in the right conditions. If the environmental temperature alters, the wine bottle’s closure will start to loosen and this will allow oxygen to get in. If the wine is exposed to oxygen, the delicate make-up of the wine will be disrupted and the wine will spoil.

Why do you need my phone number?

Some of our deliveries and couriers require a contact number to ensure your delivery gets to you safely. At Chilled Solution we won't give out or share your number with anyone else, it’s kept private and confidential. It's simply for use if there was any issues with your order. It allows us to contact you quickly and easily via phone call if we had any issues.

Do you have a showroom/Shop?

Chilled Solution is a online only retailer. This allows us to be competitive and offer the best possible service and delivery.

Do you offer free delivery?

Here at Chilled Solution you will be pleased to know that we offer free delivery on all of our products shipped to UK mainland. 

For items shipped to the EU please get in touch with us at sales@chilledsolution.com to get a delivery quote. 

For any other orders shipping costs will be calculated by size, weight and destination.

Do you guarantee the item(s) are in stock?

We do our very best to ensure that items listed as 'in stock' are available either in our warehouse or at the manufacturers warehouse, however we can't guarantee availability of any particular item, and ordering an item does not necessarily mean that the item is available for delivery within the stated period.

In the event that we cannot fulfill your order within the stated period you will be entitled to a full and immediate refund.

Alternatively we can advise you of the soonest date that the item will be back in stock with the manufacturer or direct you to a alternative product.

Is it safe to buy through your website?

Yes absolutely! Chilled Solution strives to provide our customers with a safe and smooth customer experience. Our site uses SSL encryption technology so you won't need to worry about your credit card safety.

We also made sure to partner with some of the best suppliers in the wine cooler industry, offering you a wide range of premium products to chose from.

When will I get a confirmation on my order? 

As soon as you place your order, we will pre-authorise your card however your card will not be charged. We will then contact our supplier to confirm that the product you have purchased is available for immediate shipment. Once confirmed we will process the payment and your order will be dispatched straight away. If there is any delay such as an item which is on backorder, we will void the pre-authorisation and contact you to let you know.

How long does it take for my order to be dispatched? 

We usually ship within 1-3 days of processing your order assuming the item(s) are in stock. This can vary depending on the manufacturer.

Where do you deliver?

We mainly ship to the United Kingdom. However if you require delivery outside of the UK please e-mail us at sales@chilledsolution.com and we will do our very best to meet your needs.

Please Note: There may be additional charges for 'offshore domestic regions': Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands and Northern Ireland.

How much will tax be for my International delivery?

Each country has their own percentage rate, this information can be found at your local customs office. You as the customer are solely responsible for paying these fees.

Please ensure you are familiar with your countries importing rules and regulations and contact your local customs office for more information.

Do you price match?

Yes we do indeed, at Chilled Solution we want our customers to have the best possible shopping experience when they shop with us as we know that purchasing a product is a long term investment.

Prices can change on a daily basis by other retailers within the industry. We wanted you to know that we put significant effort into making sure that our prices stay competitive. Reassuring that you are getting a great deal on every purchase.

If you find a product(s) you are looking for listed cheaper on a UK competitors website we will certainly match or beat the price for you.

To be eligible for a price match you must meet the requirements listed bellow: 

  • It must be an identical product in the exact same colour, size, finish and style.

  • The product must be in stock on our own website and the competitor website.

  • The Price Match is only applicable to the actual price displayed on a competitor’s website plus any delivery costs.

  • It does not include other offers that they may have e.g. a 10% discount code, voucher or ‘free sample’ offers.

  • The Price Match Promise does not apply to marketplace sites such as eBay or Amazon.

  • The Price Match Promise does not include Supermarkets or Wholesale outlets

  • The Price Match Policy has a fair usage policy and does not apply to orders over 3 products

  • The competitor must be an online only retailer, they may not have a retail location.

  • The price must be displayed on the competitor website in GBP (£) so we can make a clear comparison.

  • The product must be full price and not reduced at the time of your request.

We do have the rights to:

  • Refuse the price match promise if it results in profit loss or unacceptable profit margins.

  • We may discontinue the price match promise at any time.

  • We can’t offer the price match promise with products which have already been purchased from us. You must inform us before you buy the product so that we can send you a draft order.

 

What payment methods do you use?

We accept a wide range of payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express along with secure express payments via Shopify Pay, Amazon Pay, Paypal and Apple Pay.  

Please note: Large transfers made through PayPal can take up to a further 3 days to be transferred into a bank account. Please bare this in mind as it may effect delivery times.

How to take care/clean your products?

To make life easier, we recommend that you remove all the items.

Using a damp cloth, soaked in a solution of a tablespoon of ordinary baking soda to a 0.5 litres of water, clean the interior of the wine cooler.  Wash the outside of the wine cooler with warm soapy water and a damp cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, detergent or soaps as these will scratch or damage your wine cooler.  There are sharp edges on the underside of the product so always take care when handling the appliance.

Dry all surfaces thoroughly before re-using. Switch the unit back on and leave it to reach the desired temperature and then replace your contents.
